Rainbow Cafe and my day...

Today, I'm gonna review some of this delicious foods available in Rainbow Modern Western Cuisine, which is located in No.26, Permai 32, Lebuh Lembah Permai 4, Tanjung Bungah, Penang. The distance from Rainbow Cafe is not far from Tunku Abdul Rahman College. The dishes contain no MSG or Monosodium Glutamate (a.k.a. Ajinomoto) or artificial flavouring. The food is purely mixed with herbs and spices which gives a true flavour and taste. No wonder this restaurant gives a great food that satisfies their customers. The dishes are all cook upon order.

Ok. Let's start with the first one, Grilled Spicy Chicken. Chicken breast is grilled with own mixture of spices and herbs. Rice and seasonal vegetables are served together with the grilled chicken. It looks delicious.

Next, is the Rainbow's Fish N Chips. Dory fillet coated with crispy batter served with homemade tartare sauce and thousand with a side serving of French fries and salad. This dish is one of the kind recommended by the chef.

House Club Sandwich is made by mixing grilled sliced chicken with beef bacon, egg (sunny side – up), lettuce, sliced tomato and mayonnaise on wheat baguette with side serving of French fries.

The next plate is Carbonara Chicken. Fettucine cooked with Rainbow's own creamy cheese sauce with chicken. I liked it very much and it was delicious. I had ordered larger plate for this dish as I'm still hungry for it.

Last but not least, Pumpkin and Carrot Soup. It is the one of a kind homemade soup which mixes the fresh pumpkin and carrot using herbs and simmered gently until done to perfection.

This restaurant has done a great job on serving a delicious food to their happy customers. I am greatly happy because all these dishes are not only delicious, but it is also a healthy food. 4 out of 5 to Rainbow's dishes!

When I was working as a waiter at my uncle's cafe, by that time is about 9pm, a man entered our shop with his book. He ordered a food and while waiting, he reads the book. After he finished eating, he asked for a bill. Just like other normal customers, he paid and leave our cafe just like that. And when I was going to clear the table, I had found a rare $1 US Dollar note on the table. What on earth am I seeing! I was shocked at the moment I saw it. By that time I think the man has left his "bookmark" of his book when he was leaving, or maybe he seriously give me a tip. Lucky for me as I got this note. :-)

Christmas day will be coming soon in few days time. So have a happy holidays to all my friends out there, wherever you are. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2010!

Too bad Malaysia does not have snow weather. I wish I can feel the real snow weather somewhere around the world, maybe Korea or Japan to name a few. One day, there might be some invention to make the snow weather for Malaysia, so that we do not need to go further place or pay expenses to experience snow. That's what I think about. So I will just keep you updated for the time being. Have a nice day! ^_^
