4 Important Wedding Party Members Who Deserve Gifts from the Couple as a Sign of Gratitude

Part of planning your wedding is deciding who among the people in your party deserves a gift from you as a sign of your gratitude.  These are usually your closest family and friends who are members of your entourage, as well as your sponsors and other professionals who help make your wedding possible.  All the other guests on your wedding day also deserve gifts as tokens of appreciation for their support and presence.

The success of your wedding is made possible by people who give their time, effort, and resources helping you out with the wedding details and showing their lasting support.  It would be just proper to give them gifts to show them that you really appreciate the things they do for you.  Here the most important people in your wedding party who deserve well-thought-of gifts from you:

Put your family and closest friends on top of the list

Parents of both the bride and the groom deserve to be first on your list as they are first in your life.  The members of the entourage, who are usually the closest friends and relatives of the couple, also deserve to be given gifts for participating in your wedding ceremony and helping you out with the wedding preparations.  Aside from the known bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts, your best man, maid of honor or matron of honor, junior groomsmen, junior bridesmaids, ring bearer, coin bearer, and flower girls equally deserve well-chosen gifts from you.

The gifts for the parents may be given out during speeches on your wedding day or together with the entourage member gifts during wedding rehearsal dinner.  The gifts for the entourage are usually presented during this time as some gifts can be used on your wedding day and since this is the only moment you will have enough time to personally thank them for their undying support.

Thank your wedding ceremony sponsors

Your principal sponsors, as well as your secondary sponsors for the veil, cord, and candle, also deserve gifts from both of you for accepting their request and giving their time to you.  Their gifts need not be personalized as those for your parents and entourage members, but the gifts must be equally special.  If your budget is quite limited, though, you may decide to give them well-written thank you cards, instead of gifts.  Their tokens or thank you cards are given on the day of your wedding, mostly during the reception.

Show your appreciation to the other professionals who helped you out

Your wedding will not be made possibly successful without the help and effort of the other professionals.  It is but fitting to show your appreciation to your officiating priest, wedding planner, makeup artist, hairdresser, photographers, and videographer.  You can also give gifts to your wedding singer and musicians if you choose to do so.  Alternately, you can give them the favors you are planning to give for the rest of your guests during wedding reception.

Do not forget all your other guests

All your other guests who are your relatives and friends also deserve to receive favors and tokens as their remembrance on your big day.  This will also be a good way to thank them for their presence that makes you wedding a successful and memorable one.

Gifts must be chosen and given with utmost sincerity within your capabilities as they reflect how well you appreciate their support and effort to make your wedding more successful and unforgettable.  This will also be the best time for you to show how much they mean to you for the friendship and loyalty they give you.
